This is a senior hands on engineering role where you will have real ownership on site and be trusted to do the job properly from day one.

The role

You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, testing, and maintaining modern fire alarm systems across residential and commercial sites in the Midlands. You will also carry out surveys, complete documentation, and liaise directly with clients and project teams.

This role suits someone confident in their ability, organised in their approach, and comfortable taking responsibility on site.

What you will be doing

• Installing, commissioning, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems
• Working across residential and commercial environments
• Carrying out site surveys and producing clear, accurate reports
• Ensuring all work meets current fire safety standards and regulations
• Supporting junior engineers when required
• Taking ownership of smaller works and coordinating activity on site

• Strong background as a Fire Alarm Engineer
• Solid installation and commissioning experience
• Good knowledge of current fire safety standards
• Professional and calm approach when dealing with clients
• Well organised with good documentation habits
• Full UK driving licence
• Desire to develop long term while remaining hands on technically
